A study conducted by CrowdFlower found Apple Maps is three times more likely to get its users lost compared to Google Maps. The results of the study were found by picking 1,000 random business listings in the U.S. and 100 listings in the U.K. and comparing them across Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Bing’s results. CrowdFlower first wanted to see if each service used in the study would find the location of the random businesses, and if found, if the directions would lead to the business....

Windows Live Photo Gallery can keep track of photo information, such as date taken and location, but in my opinion, Google Picasa 3 does a better job for batch renaming of files. If that isn’t already troubling, more audio is recorded with the addition of Follow-up Mode for Alexa. The idea behind Follow-up Mode is it allows you to give Alexa a series of commands without speaking the wake word each time. So, after the first command has been completed, Alexa continues to listen for another one. But while it’s waiting, it’s also recording all audio happening within earshot. Drop.io was acquired by the internet giant, Facebook, on October 29th. For drop.io and its users, this means total service discontinued on Dec 15th. Effective immediately the account creation page has been closed, which also blocks anyone from creating a new drop. For existing users drops will continue to work normally until they permanently shut down on 12/15/2010. What can’t be denied is that Instagram for Android has received quite a response among Android users.
